This guide will help you with quick tips for getting started with using our services and resources.

Iscte Library focuses primarily on Social Sciences, Business Management, and Technological Sciences. The Library is open-shelved and browsable. Our collection has over 107,000 titles (books, reference books, Ph.D. theses, and Master dissertations), 20,000 e-books, and more than 67,000 journals (print and online).

Always have your student card for access to the library and to borrow items.

The Iscte Library is located in Building II, 4th Floor

Library can borrow books from other libraries for you.
It is only for internal users.
        
Conditions:

• Fill the form in the web page of the library in your personal area;
• Consult the prices;
• The books do not leave the library permises;

Books are issued and returned at the Main Desk at the first floor. Borrowed books are listed on the email with the return date, and you will receive a courtesy email when your book is due back to the library. You can check the due dates of your books by visiting your personal account or the email received.

It is your responsibility to manage your Library borrowing and either to return or renew your items on time. Failure to do so means other Library users are delayed in accessing items that they may urgently need. Library fines are charged as an incentive to encourage responsible borrowing.

We help you to avoid fines by sending you an email to let you know if any of your items are due to be returned.  If an item does go overdue, we will send you an email to inform you of this. You are required to ensure that we have your up-to-date email address and that your email client's spam filter will allow the email to be received.

Pay fines by cash at Treasury office. Fines may be paid by card at the library Main Desk.

Library Catalog web page gathers all the resources, and also it gives you access to your personal account.

EBSCO Discovery Service provides library with a powerful discovery layer providing a unified index of the library's resources and a single search experience.

The Iscte Repository was established for the purpose of storing, preserving, disseminating and providing access to the intellectual output of Iscte in digital format. The repository aims to bring together in one place, all the institution’s scientific publications, and thus contribute to increasing their visibility and impact ensuring the preservation of Iscte’s intellectual memory.

The Biblioteca do Conhecimento Online – b-on (Online Knowledge Library) makes  unlimited and permanent access available, within the research and higher education institutions, to full texts from over 16,750 scientific international publications from 16 publishers, through subscriptions negotiated on a national basis with these publishers.

RCAAP portal aims to collect, aggregate and index Open Access scientific contents from Portuguese institutional repositories.
